Thank You !!!!

Since this is a new undertaking for me, I have had to ask many people for help. My husband, Larry, and son,Todd, have been my tech support. My daughter, Emily, designed my header using a picture she had taken when she lived in Norway. It is one of my favorite photos, other than all of the photos of my grandchildren, Camden, Drew, Dylan, and Reagan. Emily is a photographer in the Houston area. Check out http://www.agirlandhercamerastudio.com/. My daughter, Amy, has helped me by answering related questions about my Iphone and Ipad use and has been my sound board. All the gals at The Little Blue House have given me pointers as well. And me pushing buttons and just praying for the best. Many thanks to all. I am sure I will continue to learn and this blog will become less intimidating. Aren't new journeys fun?

Surprising Myself

Blogging is a whole new avenue for me and I must admit somewhat scary. I have been awarded an early assignment to The Front Porch Kit Design Team at The Little Blue House. I am very excited about this. I have turned in all of my projects and I am anxiously awaiting sneak peeks starting Friday, March 2nd and the full reveal on Monday, March 5th. I hope everyone will be as excited about this new kit as the design team is. You can order your kit at The Little Blue House starting NOW.

Ask for:

While I am on a roll I would like to show you what I have been doing the last couple of days. My grandaughter, Reagan turns 1 on March 5th. Her First Birthday Party is Saturday. I have been busy designing things to decorate with and want to share them with you.The theme for her party is Pretty in Pink, 80's movie style. Her Mom , Amy has compiled a video of her first year with soundtrack from the movie as well as other 80's songs, that will be shown ongoing during the party.  I painted a canvas that can be used at this party as well as in the years to come.
I also made a yard sign.

I used a purchased pinwheel and wire cupcake that I wired together. I painted and added printed paper to the paper mache # 1. Then I stamped and embossed images on top of the printed paper. I  tied it onto the yard stake with polka dot grosgrain ribbon.
I also made a banner with felt, cardstock, letters cut on Cricut Storybook, ruffled trim, and a cardstock punched border. The banner pieces were attached to ribbon using very large pink bling brads. I put the letters on with repositionable hermafix, so after the party they can be removed and the banner can be used at another time.

Other than baking cakes, arranging flowers, making sandwiches, and helping set up, this Mimi is ready to PARTY.
